It is with great pride and excitement that I extend to you Nicklaus Children’s Hospital’s 2017 Magnet re-designation documentation. The provided materials capture our organization’s collective efforts to sustain and advance a dynamic culture of nursing excellence. Our nursing team is recognized at all organizational levels as one of the hospital’s greatest assets. Nicklaus Children’s nurses are passionate about supporting the needs of children and families and are committed to excellence in care, practice, safety and patient advocacy. They are established and proven leaders within our organization and the larger community of healthcare.  Additionally, Nicklaus Children’s nurses are instrumental in defining care standards and in conducting research and evidence-based practice projects to advance care, while providing leadership in local, regional and national professional organizations. The collective accomplishments of our nurses contained within this electronic documentation tell a passionate story of professional excellence, leadership and empowerment.
